2017 Midwest Auctions – Year end review

We would first like to thank all the buyers who came out and stood in the cold, wet, hot and often beautiful weather we had this year!  We would also like to thank all of the sellers who let us help them liquidate their assets.  2017 has proved to be our best year to date.  With 37 sales on the books, we kept busy all year long.  We won’t be having any sales in December.  It’s time for family, catch up around the house and office and maybe a nap or two.  Next year looks to be another great season with several auctions coming up.  We already have several people working on plans for upcoming sales.  Keep your eyes peeled for new and exciting items coming up!

The upcoming 2018 season will bring about a couple changes to how we do business.  I think you will all be glad to hear that we will no longer be selling items with a reserve of any type.  All sales will be absolute.  I understand reserves are frustrating to buyers who come to buy and can’t because of reserves. You won’t have to worry about that any more.  Secondly, we already take several types of payment: Cash, Check or Credit Card.  Next year we will also be accepting PayPal payments for those of you who use that as a source of funding.  There may be some other updates as I get to them.

For your convenience, you can find us on Facebook and like our page – “Midwest Auctions” to stay up to date on the latest in sale information.  If you don’t use Facebook, we also have an email distribution service as well.  Just drop us email using midwestauctions@cableone.net.  You will get an email before each auction to let you know where we will be at.

For a little fun, I happened to come across an old photo with my previous partner, Gary Fitzmorris, and I in action.  Can anyone remember where this was taken? First person to give me a solid fact (City, Seller, Location) about the auction will get a small token of my gratitude. Reach me on Facebook, Email, Call or Text.

Thank you all for your support this past year.  We look forward to seeing you again in 2018!
